Mosaicappeals.com charges
An attractive feature of mosaicappeals.com is that your appeal will suffer no capital cost and no financial risk. Our charges only become payable from funds received.
- We charge 5% of all the funds raised plus VAT. If we handle the Gift Aid claim on your behalf, then our charges are levied on the donation plus the Gift Aid reclaim.
- We charge banking charges at cost. Typically this will be 2% of credit cards, 48p on debit cards plus a further 10p on each transaction in respect of the payment service provider's charges.
- Where you choose to have us handle cheque payments, or where donors send us their card details for manual processing, we will charge an additional £1 plus VAT for each transaction.
All these charges are handled automatically by the website so for example, on a donation of £10 which is subject to Gift Aid, where it is paid online by credit card, you will receive £11.84.
VAT is calculated monthly and rounded up to the nearest whole penny.
Gift Aid rebate may take eight to twelve weeks to claim following the end of the month in which the donation was made. The rebate is credited to your online account and our fees deducted at that time.
No financial risk
In all cases, our charges are deducted from the funds raised by your mosaic appeal. You will be given access to an administration section on the mosaicappeals.com website where you can view and download financial statements and invoices, check on the progress of the mosaic appeal, view and download details of your new sponsors, and see up-to-the minute information on funds raised.
Receiving your funds
Funds raised by your mosaic appeal are directed to our reserve account. At the end of each month you will receive an email to notify you that your monthly statement is ready to view online. This statement will give details of funds raised, our charges and the amount of funds that will be transferred to your account. This amount will be transferred to you on the 10th of each month, or the first working day after the 10th.
You will be able to download copies of invoices in respect of our charges, and a monthly Gift Aid return, with sufficient details for you to be able to make a claim to the Inland Revenue.
